Of the elements commonly found in lead alloys, zinc and bismuth aggravate corrosion in most circumstances, while additions of copper, tellurium, antimony, nickel, silver, tin, arsenic, and calcium affect corrosion resistance only slightly, or may even improve it depending on the service conditions.
